Bernadette was a wonderful mother, sister, aunt, grandma, and dear friend to many people throughout the Michigan community. She was known for her love of the outdoors, gardening, and taking care of her flowers and loved nothing more than making someone laugh. She enjoyed life to it's fullest potential and lived every day like it was her last.

She was preceded in death by her sister; Sonya Decheney, her mother, Mary Hickman, and her father, Daniel Taylor.

Bernadette is survived by her Children; Michael Taylor, Mary Taylor, Raymond Risner, and Monica Risner.

Brothers; Daniel Taylor, Tommy Jones, Michael Jones, and Shaquille Taylor.

Sister; Nora Taylor.

Grandchildren; Kyrie Risner, Alzada Risner, Austin Taylor, Zack Brown, Cameron Taylor, Morgan Taylor, Grace Harkleroad, and Dominic Harkleroad.

Daughters-in-law; April Keeler and Andrea Mathis.

Son-in-law; Thomas Olgetree

Nieces; Beth Decheney, April Decheney, Tiffany Christiensen, and Cheryl Christensen.

Great-nieces; Tristen Holy and Karissa Decheney.

Friends; Tamara Warner, Angela Jones, Tracey Marshall Taylor, Shannon Kinney Legna Fox, Neveah Fox, and Lydia Mathis.

There will be a memorial held at the Taylor family residence located at: 402 Goguac Street West, Battle Creek, MI 49015 on February 07, 2026 1pm to 5pm. All people welcome to attend are listed above. Food and drinks are provided but you can bring a favorite dish and/or a favorite drink. We are here to celebrate the occasion on behalf of our mother and our family.
