IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Benny
Herrmann
September 19, 1933 – August 26, 2023
Exactly two months after saying farewell to his bride of 72 years, Benny Herrmann of Byron Center passed away three weeks shy of his 90th birthday.
In addition to his beautiful wife, Marilyn, he was proceeded in death by their first born, Mary Rose Braciak, and by all his wonderful siblings, siblings-in-law, and their spouses: Mamie (Karl) Kendall, Charles (Betty) Herrmann, Leo (Lucille) Herrmann, Robert (Marie) Fischer, Richard Fischer, Fred (Christine) Fischer, Donald Fischer, Elaine (Wesley) Hill, and Shirley (George) Lienhard.
Benny is survived by their children Deborah (Thomas) Markham, James (Rosalie) Herrmann, Denise (Allen Clark) Saganski, and Thomas Braciak; by their grandchildren David Braciak, Elizabeth (Kevin Partridge) Braciak, Andrew (Laura Mahone) Markham, Mary Rose (Jacob Gilsbach) Herrmann, Leeann (Maxwell) Sadler, Caitlin (Nathan) Waldorf, and Zachary (Anna Mayne) Saganski; and by their great-grandchildren Donovan, Annabelle, & Leonidas Braciak, and Charlotte Herrmann Gilsbach. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who always had kind words for our parents, with especially close cousins Jacki (Robert Dickinson) Lammert and Brian (Becky) Fischer.
The family wants to thank the following for caring for their parents throughout their journey: Dr. Michael Bodley, Dr. Eryn Quinn, Dr. Matthew Sevensma, and the teams from Cardinal Care, Hometown Pharmacy (Kentwood), Interim Hospice, and Faith Hospice. We appreciate you all helping us to keep Mom and Dad together for so long.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place and a private service will be held. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Wyoming, MI.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider a donation in Benny's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Faith Hospice, an amazing source of comfort and assistance to Dad and our family.
Final words are from Dad: "Thank God for the UAW and call someone you love today."
