Barrie Lee Blood, 74, of Hamilton, Michigan, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, September 24, 2017. He was a humble and loving man who enjoyed fishing, woodworking and most of all spending time with his family. Some of his most happiest moments were spent at the annual family campouts enjoying time with his many grandkids He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Blood and Vera Rothfuchs , and brothers Robert Blood and William "Bing" Blood. Barrie is survived by his wife of 52 years Jenifer, his children Tammara & Philip VanDop, Barrie Jr. & Jennifer Blood, Robert & Christine Blood and Matthew & Tara Blood. Barrie is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on Friday, September 29, at Overisel Reformed Church, 4706 142nd Ave., Holland, Michigan. A celebration of life service will be held for Barrie also at Overisel Reformed on Saturday, September 30, at 10 a.m. Reverend Philip VanDop will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Holland. The family would like to thank the staff of Cancer & Hematology Center of Holland, Holland Hospital and Hospice of Holland for all the wonderful care given to Barrie.
