Barbara Marie André, 87, of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully on 5/10/2023.  The second of three children born to Marinus and Myrtle Disselkoen, Barb attended Baxter Christian School and GR Christian HS, married Andrew "Bud" André in 1957 and raised three children near her own childhood home.  She was a lifelong member of First (Bates St) Christian Reformed Church.  She earned an Associate's degree from Davenport College in office administration and worked briefly for the Christian Reformed denominational headquarters.  She loved music, sang in the Calvin College Oratorio society and was a guest soloist in many churches.  Barb is survived by her sons Dale and Paul and her sister Norma Hoeksema; she was pre-deceased by her parents, brother Loren, daughter Lisa, daughter-in-law Beth and grandson Griffin.  Family visitation and Memorial will be June 17 at First CRC Grand Rapids; call the church at 616-452-4370 for details.
