January 1, 1924 - December 15, 2011 Service: January 8, 2012 Erickson - Arnold E. Erickson aged 87, made his transition on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Preceding Arnold in death was his wife, Ruth and son, Steven. Surviving are his daughter-in-law, Mona Erickson; grandchildren, Travis Erickson, Nolan (Sarah) Erickson, Amber Erickson (Dan Sullivan); great-grandchildren, Ashley Erickson, Jessica Erickson; and brother, Willard Erickson. Arnold served in the South Pacific during World War II and retired from Michigan Bell Telephone Company after 28 years of service. He also volunteered for many years repairing cassette machines used by "Blind Person", administrated by the Telephone Pioneers. In recent years Arnold enjoyed spending time with friends at the Wyoming Senior Center. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and his presence and wry sense of humor will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at Ofield Funeral Home on January 8th at 3pm. The family requests Memorial contributions to Hospice or a charity of one's choice.
