Obituary

Ardythe D-Ann Foley, age 62, passed away on October 13th surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle against cancer. Born on January 18th, 1961 to Ernest and Ardith Gagye, Ardythe, or "Dee" to those she knew and loved, lived her life unapologetically and full of love.  A lover of photography, for which she went to school for. She also loved to read any book she could get her hands on and was an avid Law & Order watcher. She enjoyed cross stitch from time to time and absolutely loved playing card games like Skip-Bo, Phase 10, and Rummy even though she rarely won. She was an avid furniture collector, with a special love for couches. She also loved to collect music boxes and snow globes and had a rather impressive collection. She was also partial to Nutcrackers and anything related to Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.  She loved to spend time with her family more than anything. Whether it was going to movies, going out to eat, playing card or board games, or just sitting around and talking to the late hours, she loved spending as much time as possible with those she loved. Family was the most important thing to her and making sure those in her life knew she loved them. As a mother, she wasn't Florence Henderson, but her heart was bigger than anyone's. She loved to wake her children up in the morning singing "You are my sunshine". She was always there when you needed her whether it was for a bruised knee or a bruised heart. She made her house a home to her children's friends and many called her mom. She was Married on December 15th, 1979 to Zeno Foley. Through the ups and downs of life, their love for each other was always there. She was always his "Goldie". Dee also loved her church, the Sturgis Salvation Army, and all those she met there, making many lasting friendships. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Ardith Gagye and her beloved son Alexander Foley. She is survived by her Husband Zeno Foley of Sturgis, MI and 5 of her children, Zeno Foley and his wife Jodi of Beaverton, MI; Coleman Foley and his wife Marilyn of Middlebury, IN; Hope Knight and her husband Anthony of Centreville, MI; Carl C. Foley of Three Rivers, MI; and Faith Foley and her partner Duston Haley of Austin, TX. She is survived by 7 wonderful grand Children: Zuzalea, Bastian, Gabriel, Coleman, Ashlyn, Azraell, and Aleczander. And She is survived by her 4 brothers, Ernest Gagye and his wife Anna; Daniel Gagye and his wife Kathy; Markham Keith; and Kevin Keith and his wife Deb. Dee is also survived by her 16 year old fur baby, Tayha. A service will be held at Patchwork Barn Events, 11748 Co Road 2, Middlebury, IN 46540  on Sunday October 22nd at 2pm. A Celebration of Life gathering will also take place at a later date in the spring and family can be contacted if you would like to provide your info to be notified of the Celebration date/time. In lieu of flowers, please send cards/letters/photos to PO Box 358, Centreville, MI 49032 with your favorite memory of Dee that will be displayed at her Celebration of Life gathering in the Spring.
