Ardena Jean Enders, age 81, formerly of Niles, MI passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born on June 21, 1944, in Howard City, to Ira & Wilma Cole.

Ardena married Michigan State Trooper Steven B. DeVries on August 27, 1966, he preceded her in death on October 12, 1972.

Ardena later married David Enders on March 30, 1974.

She enjoyed being involved in her church, being with family, tending her flower gardens, walking in her woods, traveling, camping, and sewing.

Ardena was a member of Fulkerson Park Baptist Church, Niles Michigan.

She is survived by her children: Dan Enders (Joy Milliser-Jacquez) Elkhart, IN, Robin Gerard (Bryan) Nashville, TN, Steve DeVries (Danielle) Granger, IN, and Lance DeVries (Michelle) Hastings, MI; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Edna Rhodes Howard City, MI.

Ardena was preceded in death by her parents: Ira Cole and Wilma Cole; husbands: Steven B. DeVries and David Enders; brothers: Leo Bennett and Gene Cole; and sister, Mary Whitney (Bennett).

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until 2:00pm on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE Kentwood, MI 49508. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery.
