April Marie Houghton of Kentwood, Michigan, passed away on August 21st, 2022. She was born to Ronald and Joyce McKay on April 21st, 1965, in Grand Rapids, MI.

April was born into a family of 4 children. She was a 1983 graduate of Comstock Park High School. She was a loving mother of two children Jessica Houghton and Nicole Houghton.

April was married to Jack Houghton for 31 years and they were married on June 8th, 1991. April enjoyed spending time with her family. In her free time, April loved to work with her flowers and watch movies. She found fun being outside fishing, camping, kayaking and visiting around a campfire built by her husband Jack. April was truly a genuine, kind, soul and loving person that thought the best of all people. She was a great listener to all friends and family. She was always there to lift us all up. When April walked into a room, her smile and her spirit filled the room. Her giggle kept us all rolling on the floor and our faces beaming. Her home was open to all and you were greeted with a hug. April's Love for her husband was admired by us all. She stood by his side and gave him strength. Her world centered around him and her children. They are by far her greatest achievements in her lifetime.

April is survived by her beloved Husband of 31 years Jack Edward Houghton; loving child, Jessica Houghton, Sister, Tracy Carter, brother Cameron McKay (Paula), sister Brenda Cardines ( John), Sister in law, Kelly Cook (Mark), Deana Jesko (Aaron), many nieces and nephews, and her pets Sunny and Dexter.

She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter Nicole Marie Houghton and parents Ronald and Joyce McKay.

There will be a time of visitation from 5pm to 8pm on Thursday August 25th, 2022 at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Avenue SE Kentwood, Michigan 49508. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11:00am on Friday, August 26th, 2022 at Ofield Funeral home. Burial will be immediately following at Pine Hill Cemetery. Service Details. Visitation
