Obituary

November 11, 2012 Service: November 17, 2012 Anne M. Klein, fun mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2012. Anne was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School, class of 1943. She taught ceramics at her homes in Grand Rapids, volunteered at Blodgett Hospital in Surgery Services for forty years, served in various capacities on the Michigan Association of Hospital Auxiliaries including many years as a board member and President of the West Central District. After moving to Breton Woods Terrace, she enjoyed getting to know her neighbors and served as hall liaison. Most important to Anne were her family and friends. She leaves behind her children Dan A. (Sharon) Klein of Lincoln, NE, Tom Klein of Alto, Joy (Larry) Thon of Plano TX, and dear friend Marilyn Bender, who has been an angel for our entire family for the past 45 years. Her treasured grandchildren include Katherine Cilla Morrison, Anthony Cilla, Daniel Klein Jr., Michelle Klein Fortney, Dave Klein and Amy Klein Hass; great grandchildren, Alana and Lila Morrison, Collin, Samantha and Connor Klein, Haleigh and Daniel Klein III, Savannah and Garrett Fortney; sweet sister, Tippy (Tom) Anderson of Battle Creek, MI; sister-in-law, Iris Heyboer of Grand Rapids, many amazing nieces and nephews; special cousin, Ethel (Lewis) Steakley of Morely, MI. She was preceded in death by husband, Dan L. Klein and parents William and Margaret Quinlan. Please join us on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at East Congregational Church, 1005 Giddings Ave SE, for viewing and visiting beginning at 11:00am followed by a light lunch and shared remembrances from 12:00-1:00pm. Memorial contributions to St. Jude's Children Research Center - Tributes, Grand Rapids Veteran's Home, St. Mary's Foundation - Lack's Cancer Center or Faith Hospice or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
