Ann Underwood-Domire of Grand Rapids, Michigan, age 83, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019. She was born to William and Florence Bressman on May 10th, 1936, in Detroit, MI. Ann was born the oldest of three children and graduated from Redford High School. She married Thomas Underwood and started a family and moved to Middleville, MI, on Payne Lake in 1967. She had three children: Thom, Susan and Sheryl. Ann loved life! She loved spending time with her children. Some of her favorite pastimes were boating, swimming, gardening, knitting, sewing, camping, 4-H leader, playing cards, games, shopping, taking care of the elderly and selling Avon to many good friends. Ann worked for Michigan Bell in Detroit and Bradford White Corp in Middleville, MI. After marrying Tony, moving to Angola, IN where she and Tony owned their own Allied Trucking Company, and yes, Ann drove an 18-wheeler from coast to coast. She loved driving truck. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her brother David. Ann is survived by her three children: Thom Underwood, Susan Otto, Sheryl (Derrick) Cross; four grandchildren: Heather Underwood, Cole Vandenberg, Casey VandenBerg and Brynn Tamminga; and four great Grandchildren and her sister Linda Hoyer. The memorial service for Ann will be celebrated by Pastor Chris Rubino at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1934 52nd Street SE, Kentwood, Michigan 49508. There will be a one-hour visitation prior to the memorial service at church. Immediately following the service, you are cordially invited to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and a luncheon at the church. Those wishing to offer expressions of sympathy are encouraged to make a memorial contribution to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
