Anita Kay Rediger, 66, passed away at her home in Grand Rapids, MI on Saturday, February 23, 2019. She was born in Tiffin, Ohio to Roy and Jo Rediger. Anita was a Zeeland High School graduate and also a graduate of Grand Valley College. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin Roy Rediger, and her mother and her father. She is survived by her sister, Denise Rediger Hurst of Heath, Texas and her nephew Eric Hurst and niece Brenna Hurst Webb. Anita had a very kind and patient heart. In high school she volunteered weekly at a catechism class for special needs children. For the past 10 years she was a volunteer at Raybrook Manor. She thoroughly enjoyed her time helping there and the purpose it gave to her life. Anita enjoyed quilting and other types of needlework. Many people received her quilts as gifts. She was a collector of angel figurines and also of teapots. Her dogs and cats through the years were very special to her and were all adopted from shelters. Anita's cremains will be buried at Pilgrim Home Cemetery in Holland, MI and a small celebration of her life will be held in May.
