Obituary

July 16, 1952 - January 20, 2025

Lover of God first, out of which flowed her great love for children (heading the Warm Up America program for years), dogs, and the lost and hurting.

Anita surrounded her days with music. She studied organ first, then piano, followed by guitar and she played in her church bell choir. She was creative in all she did, whether with her art or with her knitting, or when making handmade cards which are treasured by all those who were blessed to receive them. Her activities in senior centers were fun and innovative for both residents and staff alike!

Anita knew her way around the kitchen. Her specialties included Scandinavian recipes like nisua and pasties. We all loved the Yorkshire Pudding she made for us every Christmas!

Anita's love of nature meant a walk in the woods, or time spent by the lake, equaled a perfect day! Other favorite activities included reading books of poetry or Sherlock Holmes mysteries. Her small library of Bible study books have countless highlighted passages and notes jotted on the margins.

Anita's favorite hymn was "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms" – and there she now rests in peace.
