Andrew 'Andy' Robert Taylor, age 69, of Kentwood, passed away on January 7, 2022. He was born on May 19, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Robert and Clara Julia (Slinkard) Taylor.

He grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School. He attended Grand Rapids Baptist College, where he obtained his bachelor's degree. He was united in marriage with Judy (Gore) Taylor on June 21, 1974. Andy will always be remembered as the ultimate outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish, and play tennis. He was a coach for many sports, and could also be seen as a ref or umpire during games. Some even remember him as an amateur hockey announcer. He loved the Detroit Lions, Red Wings, and Tigers. He was an avid member of the Lamplighter Fellowship Bible study group.

Andrew will be dearly missed by his wife of 47 years, Judy; children: Alicia (Leif) Frederick, Joel Taylor, Bryan Taylor, and Jason (Teresa) Taylor; eleven grandchildren: Elizabeth, Noah, Saige, Emma, Addison, Lola, Olivia, Jaymes, Camila, Ronin, and Leo; siblings: Timothy (Linda) Taylor, Tarea (Jim) Kirby, Anna Laurie (Ric) Anderson, and Ami Higgins (Skip); as well as many other close family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, with Randy Sharpe presiding. A visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta. Service Details. Visitation
