Andrea Lynne
Pantelleria
March 29, 1982 – July 29, 2023
In loving memory of Andrea Lynne Pantelleria (Vliem) of Grand Rapids, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 42 on Saturday, July 29, 2023. She was a compassionate and caring soul, showing her love for others through endless patience, empathy, and random acts of kindness.
Andrea is survived by her beloved sons, Weston and Caden Pantelleria; their father, Jason Pantelleria; her parents, Gary and Kim Vliem; her brother, Bryan (Melissa) Vliem; her sister, Pam (Kevin) Racicot; and her many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Mildred Vliem, Wesley McCrum, and Anne and Gus Amundson.
A graduate of Forest Hills Northern class of 2000, Andrea pursued a degree in Advertising and Public Relations at Grand Valley State University, graduating in 2004. She found joy in reading, traveling, poetry, spending time in nature, fishing, and playing sports with her boys.
Above all, Andrea's love for her two sons, Weston and Caden, was immeasurable. Her devotion to them was a testament to her immense capacity for love, and her unique ability to make those around her feel valued and cherished. Her legacy will live on through her boys, who will forever remember her for her love, warmth, and guidance, as well as the six lives she was able to save through her Gift of Life organ donations.
Andrea's life exemplified love and kindness. To know her was to feel loved, and her sensitivity to the feelings of others made her a source of comfort and support to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be profoundly missed.
An informal celebration of Andrea's life will be held on Sunday, August 27, from 11:00-2:00 at Johnson Park - 2600 Wilson Ave. NW, Walker, MI, 49534. A light lunch will be served. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or National Alliance on Mental Illness. The family extends their deepest gratitude to everyone for their support during this challenging time. Andrea's memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her.
