Alvyn Murl Hinken passed away on March 31, 2022 in Byron Center Michigan.

He was predeceased by his wife, Glenna Jean; son, Gene and son-in-law, Robert Vander Lind.

He is survived by Gene's wife, Cheri; daughters, Jayne Vander Lind, Janet Bak and Dawn (John) Pike; grandchildren, Steve (Sheri) Hinken, Becky Hinken and Melissa Hinken, Teri (Paul) Leys and Kristopher (Paula) Vander Lind. Ashley Bak, PJ Bak and Aaron Bak, John Jr (Mandy) Pike, Brad (Erin) Pike and Mitchell (Rachelle) Pike; nineteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Chuck (Mary) Hinken and his coffee buddies from the The Byron Center Restaurant.

He was a Korean War Veteran and worked for Michigan Bell Telephone Co. for 30 years.
