April 4, 2013 Service: April 8, 2013 Alvin Jay Walters, age 85, child of God, began eternal life with Jesus Christ his Savior on Thursday, April 4, 2013. He was met in heaven by his wife of 64 years, Ethel Kist Walters, who passed away on August 8, 2012, his grandson, Adam Bultema and brothers, Gerald Storms and C. Junior Devall. He is survived by and will be dearly missed by daughter, Karen and Doug Bultema, and son, Brian and Becky Walters; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Tad and Sarah Bultema (Jacob, Anna), Amy and Don Hager (Shea, Cade), Tim and Telica Bultema (Alyssa, Kayla, Amanda, Elizabeth); sisters, Barbara and Phillip Maiville, Charlene Vancamp; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Storms; Earl and Alice Doornbos; nieces and nephews. Al and Ethel were charter members of Olivet Reformed Church in Grandville and were very active there for 64 years, until the church's closing in 2011. They were now members of Newhall Community Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 8, in Newhall Community Church, 3746 Byron Center SW, officiated by Rev. Thomas Bos. The family will greet friends and relatives at the church, Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Hospice.
