Alvin "Al" Kortman went home to Jesus on February 10, 2024, at the age of 61.

Al was the born to Herman and Marian Kortman on October 8, 1962, in Holland Michigan. As a child he
was full of energy, and very sweet. Childhood friends is one thing he was not short on. He was known by
many and loved by many. Al worked in shipping and receiving most of his working life and was always a
friend to his fellow employees'.

Al married the love of his life Dawn in 1987. Al and Dawn had two daughters, (Lindsey and Johanna). He
also became a stepparent to two. Being a father was a highlight of his life. He was very sentimental and
cherished the time he had with his family. He would spend hours star gazing with his daughters and
giving them the moon. He also had a love for camping, and the beach. He was also over the moon when
he became a grandpa.

Al is survived by his wife, his children, 6 grandchildren (Justin, Arianna, Brycen, Cecillyah, Addison, and
Luke), 2 sisters, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous others.

Al is proceeded in death by his mother (same day 6 days apart), father, his little brother Daryl, and
nephew Jeremy.

In place of a funeral, family and friends will be invited to a celebration of life that will take place later
this summer around a bon fire that Al would have loved. Please contact his daughter, Lindsey, for more
