IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alejandro Javier
Chavez
August 5, 1959 – December 22, 2021
Alejandro (Alex) Javier Chávez, 62, of Jenison, MI entered into the loving arms of Jesus on December 22, 2021 surrounded by his beloved wife and his daughters, whom he adored.
He was born to parents Ing. Alberto Chávez Castellanos and María Ruth Alanis de Chávez, on August 5, 1959 in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico. He was studying to become a lawyer when he accepted Christ and made the choice not to pursue his degree, but instead to work for the Lawyer of lawyers, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ. He arrived in the United States with his family in 1991, with very little and without speaking the language. God gave him the promise that if he took care of His Kingdom, he would take care of his house. God upheld his household and was always faithful. Alex became an ordained minister through Faith Christian Fellowship International. He founded House of Restoration Church and had a healing and deliverance ministry. The Lord gave him a clear vision to spread the Gospel, to equip believers, to bring freedom to the spiritually captive, to restore the broken hearted and abused and to prepare and enable leaders for the Kingdom of God through the Word and the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Alex is survived by his faithful wife of 40 years, Laura Chávez, his daughters Laura Chávez and Martha (Scott) Cressy, his grandchildren, who were his heart and joy, Grayson and Tristan Cressy, his siblings Paty, Maria Eugenia, Carlos and Alberto Chávez Alanis, many family members and cherished friends.
Alex was preceded in death by parents Ing. Alberto Chávez Castellanos and María Ruth Alanis de Chávez, his brother Eduardo Chávez Alanis and his father-in-law Armando Treviño Garza .
Alex's testimony and legacy was his passion and love for serving God, wholeheartedly and with compassion, and for winning souls for the Kingdom of God. Through the different stages of his illness and until the end of his days, his greatest desire was to continue to preach the Gospel for as long as God would allow him to keep his voice. His favorite saying was "thank you Lord Jesus" and with thanksgiving, is exactly how he chose to live his life. He was known for being a precious and faithful servant. His wife and daughters call themselves blessed.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
?I have fought the good fight,?I have finished the race,?I have kept the faith.??Now there is in store for me?the crown of righteousness,?which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
