Alan Jay Smith, sunrise April 15, 1962, sunset December 29th, 2018. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Jr, and mother, Rosalee Smith; special aunt, Sharon Chapman. Alan will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dawn Marie (Dawnie) VanKampen, his brother William (Bill) Smith, and sister Terri Connor (Scott); brothers-in-law, Marvin C VanKampen Jr. and Robby Visch; daughter, Shannon (Tim) Carigon and son, Shawn; grandchildren Leeann and Timmy Carigon Jr; several nieces, nephews, cousins, special nephew and friend, Chad Gutierrez, Kevin Sherwood, Jim VanStrein, and Jimmie Reed. A service will be Thursday, January 3rd at Brookside Church (3600 Kalamazoo Ave SE) at 1pm.
