IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alan Patrick
Haugen
February 11, 1963 – March 4, 2023
Alan Patrick Haugen of Wyoming, MI, age 60, passed away Saturday, March 4 after a courageous 5-year battle with cancer. He was born in Muskegon on February 11, 1963, son of James and Shirley Haugen.
Al is survived by his wife Connie, son Joe (Rosie) and daughter Holly; grandchildren Noelle and Casen; siblings Jim, Pat (Bill), Dan (Dawn), Terry (Carrie), Rob, Rick (Val) ; lifelong friend Brian (Michelle) and countless other family and loved ones.
He was a dependable, loyal, hard-worker and was employed at F&S Carton company as a feeder operator/pressman for 25 years. He finished his career at Holland Litho as a pressman-where he was loved by many.
Al's life was centered around relationships. He was known by many names; Husband, Father, Papa, Alan P, Pops, Tropic'Al-to name a few. Al touched everyone's life with his positivity, huge smile and even bigger heart. He showed up when it mattered and made you feel so important and special. Ask anyone and they would describe him as loving, self-less, genuine, supportive, and an inspiration to all. "Everyone needs an Al."
He loved volleyball, MI football, Nascar, his dogs (grand pups), and country music. He enjoyed taking vacations to warm destinations and Friday night date nights with "his beautiful lady".
We know he is watching down on us all as he continues his walk along the beach making footprints in the sand with his heavenly father.
The LORD replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial visitation, which will be held at Ofield Funeral Home on Saturday, March 11 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held this summer and with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a memorial donation be made to offset funeral costs at https://venmo.com/Haugen_Memorial_Fund. All donations are set to go directly to his forever soulmate, and wife of 40 years, Connie, as she navigates this new chapter in life, and tackles expenses that follow after Al's passing.
