Agnes Voss Steegstra went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on December 30, 2017 at the age of 100. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on September 15, 1917 to Rev. Albert and Sarah Voss. Growing up she lived in South Dakota, Montana, Iowa, and Michigan. Agnes attended Calvin College and met Bob Steegstra there. They were married May 21, 1941 after Bob finished Western Theological Seminary. Rev. and Mrs. J. Robert Steegstra served Reformed churches in Michigan, Illinois, and Florida. Agnes finished her college degree at the age of 50 and taught school for 13 years, 12 of which were at Cummings Elementary School in Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998. Her two brothers and two sisters also predeceased her. She is survived by her children, Judy (David) Whitney, Barbara Flagg, Carol (Jim) Dawson, and Marcia (Dave) Johnson; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law Dot Voss.
