Adrian Nicole Oates, affectionately known as "Pooh," of Belmont, Michigan, age 44, passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021. She was born to Katherine P. and Willie L. Oates on January 18, 1977, in Saginaw, Michigan.

Adrian attended Houghton Elementary, North Middle, and was a 1995 graduate of Buena Vista High School and furthered her education at Delta Community College.

Pooh loved to spend time with her husband, children, and grandchildren whom she loved dearly. When she was younger, Pooh loved playing basketball and hanging with friends. In her free time, Adrian would enjoy shopping, attending sporting events, taking trips, and listening to music.

Adrian is survived by her husband Thomas R. Benham; loving children, Jeffrey, Jr., Ivory (Chaniz) Franks, and Paris Oates; two stepdaughters; grandchildren Jeffrey III, Jerzi, Jahzi Franks, and Tatiyana Curry; brothers Willie, Jr., Antwan Oates, and Sam Austin; sisters, Carolyn Bennett, Linda Pritchett, and Barbara Oates; favorite cousins, Sharifa Bennett, Tahisha Cogle, and Jeremy Pritchett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Aunt Mary Pritchett, Uncle Jimmie Pritchett, and best friend, Tara Wilson.

There will be a memorial service for Adrian that will be celebrated at 4:00 p.m. EST, 3:00 p.m. CST on March 28, 2021, via ZOOM Video, Meeting ID: 391 920 0166
