Muhamet Poni

Muhamet "Meti" Poni, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, in GrandRapids Michigan, after a valiant battle with lung cancer. 

Born on October 17, 1945, in Filat, Greece Meti's life was marked by his unwavering strength, warmth, and the profound impact he had on those around him.

Meti was the beloved husband of Flutura, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and companionship. 

He was a guiding light to his children, Tina and Edi, and a role model to his daughter-in-law, Eva. 

His joy was multiplied with the birth of each of his grandchildren, Toni, Aleks, Enea, and Ergi, who will remember their grandfather with deep affection and admiration.

Throughout his life, Meti was known for his hard work and dedication in the construction industry. 

His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence left a lasting legacy in the structures he helped to build and in the hearts of his colleagues. 

Meti's passion for soccer remained a fond memory from his younger years, a testament to his team spirit and love for the game.

Meti's journey through life was one of resilience and love. His memory will be forever cherished and kept alive by the stories shared among family and friends. As we say farewell to Meti, we celebrate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and the enduring memories that will comfort us in the days to come. His spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, just as the sunrise promises a new day.
