Christine "Chris" Trasky, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 24, 2024, in Grand Rapids, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 6, 1962, in Augusta, GA, Chris's warmth and generosity touched everyone she met throughout her short 61 years of life.
Chris was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, an incredible aunt, and a cherished friend. Her family was the cornerstone of her life, and she embraced every moment with them. She is survived by her loving husband, Dan, her children, Nick and Lauren, her mother and father, John and Cleora Oswald, her siblings Tony and April Oswald, and a close-knit circle of friends and relatives who will forever cherish her memory.
Professionally, Chris was respected as an IRA Specialist, where her diligence and expertise helped many in their financial journeys. Yet, it was her role being a mother and aunt that brought her immense joy. Chris's love for her family was evident in every action, every hug, and every smile she shared. She cherished spending time with her friends, and her loyalty to them was unwavering. Her friends, in turn, cared deeply for Chris, drawn to her loving, kind, and thoughtful nature. She approached life with a gentle heart and a generous spirit, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength that she touched the lives of all who knew her. Her warmth and compassion were her gifts to the world, and they will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
We celebrate the extraordinary life of Christine Oswald-Trasky. Her memory will be treasured as a reminder of the beauty of a life lived with love at its center.
