Ruth is also survived by numerous Nephews, Grandnephews, Great-Grandnephews, Nieces, Grand Nieces and Great-Grandnieces. Ruth Graduated from Central High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Ruth continued her education in business at what is now known as Davenport College. After the birth of her first son Allan, she chose to become a full time homemaker. Raising and nurturing four boys all while keeping an eight room house running efficiently which was no small task by any means. She loved her family and was always right behind them with their passions; helping them along and cleaning up their messes (the garage and the basement always suffered the worst from their building and automotive endeavourers.) She loved the young and always wanted her house to be the place where her children's friends could feel comfortable visiting. Home life wasn't her only passion. She volunteered much of her time with First Park Congregational Church. She served many years on the Arnold Ten, which was instrumental in the organization of the many charitable activities that Park Church had throughout each year. She also volunteered in the nursery and taught Sunday school classes. Her Love of God and her willingness to sacrifice were never more apparent than when she took it upon herself to be the primary caregiver of her husband when he became disabled. Ruth, although weary at times, never faltered from giving Allan the best care he could ever receive. She persevered with her love and care of the man she chose to make her life with, right to the time of his passing; being there to sing him from this world to the next. Although her passing is difficult for her family, they celebrate with great joy, her rejoining her husband and family in heaven. Per the wishes of Ruth, in lieu of flower, donations be made to the National Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org/ or to Brookcrest Nursing Facility in Grandville Michigan.
