Ruth Marie Hilti

Ruth Marie Hilti, age 92, of Pontiac, Illinois went to her heavenly home on November 20, 2016. Ruth was one of three children born to John and Mary (Wynistorf) Hilti (Stahler) on July 12, 1924. She graduated from Saunemin High school in 1942. After graduating from high school, Ruth worked most of her life in Chicago, Illinois. She retired from the Speigel Catalog Company in 1987 and moved to Pontiac, Illinois in 1994. She was preceded in death by both parents and her brother John Hilti. She is survived by her sister Vera (Doug) Humphries of Grand Rapids, Michigan, niece Karen (Mike) Murphy of Kentwood, Michigan, nephew Gary (Cindy) Humphries of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Barbara Shank of Yuma, Arizona. Grandnieces Kate (Dale) Porter of Indian River, Michigan, Mary(Conner) Sheets of Birmingham, Alabama, Ellen (Joe) Gassmann of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Julie (Dave) Ward of Seattle, Washington, Kimberly Humphries of Red Bank, Tennessee, and Linda (Rickey) Chase of Monaca, Pennsylvania. Great Grandniece Madeline Porter and Great Grandnephews William and Benjamin Ward. Ruth enjoyed traveling in the United States and Europe and enjoyed traveling on mini-trips with the Pontiac Fun Timers group for several years. She resided at Evenglow Manor in recent years and most recently resided in Samaritas Care Center, Grand Rapids, Michigan near her sister Vera. Ruth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pontiac for many years. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Evenglow Shelter Care, 215 E. Washington, Pontiac, IL. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her family.
