Robert Huebner Obituary

Huebner, Robert Fredrick, age 91 of Kentwood, passed away on Saturday, January 21st in Grand Rapids. Robert is preceded in death by his son Robert L. Huebner. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Donna, children, Darlene (Douglas) Hoving, David (Elizabeth) Huebner, grand children, Joel, Jared, and Brandon Hoving, Emma and David Huebner, and 4 great grand children. Robert served his country in 342nd infantry regiment 86 Blackhawk division during WWII from 1943-1946, he enlisted in the Marine Reserves in 1946 and was called up and served in the Marines during the Korean Conflict. After serving in the military, Robert graduated from Wayne State University. Robert worked as a controller for companies in the aircraft and transportation fields until becoming an advisor in insurance and investment fields for Axa Equitable for 20 plus years, he finally retired in 2009. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Mary Martha at Beacon Hill and Spectrum Hospice for their kindness to our father. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday at 11am at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 1253 52nd St. SE, in Kentwood. Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday from 6-8pm at Ofield Funeral Home, 4500 Kalamazoo Ave SE, in Kentwood.
