Marilyn Andrakowicz (Himebaugh), 83, died July 1, 2015, with her family by her side in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Marilyn was born November 16, 1931, in Grand Rapids, to Leslie and Winifred Himebaugh. She grew up,with her only sibling Tom. They shared a very special relationship and remained close throughout her life. Marilyn graduated from South High School in Grand Rapids and Married Carl B. Andrakowicz in the Spring of 1952. Marilyn was a devoted wife, homemaker, and mother to her 6 children, 10 grand children, and her 4 great grand children. She enjoyed her family and was an active participant in their daily lives. After her husband passed in 2001, Marilyn became active in her community, volunteering at God's Kitchen serving meals to the homeless and helping at her church when it was needed. She is survived by her children Mark "Lamn" Andrakowicz, Mike (Mary) Andrakowicz, Karen (John) Kowalczyk, "Andy" Bill (Pam) Andrakowicz of San Diego, Sue (Bob) Hanley of Farmington Hills, and Nancy Misak; Her brother Tom Himebaugh and his wife Linda of Hudson Florida; Her grand children Rachel, Mathew, and Andy Andrakowicz, Jennean and Jim Rieth. Brian, Nick, and Sarah Hanley, and Gina and Corin Misak; Her great grand children Jordan, Savannah, and Alyvia Rieth, and Mia Rinker; and by countless friends she touched along the way. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Leslie and Winifred Himebaugh, her husband Carl B. Andrakowicz, and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at Ofield Fneral Home located at 4500 Kalamazoo Ave, Kentwood, Mi. 49508 on Sunday, July 5th from 1 pm to 3pm and 6pm to 8pm Services will be held Monday at St. John Vianney Church located 4101 Clyde Park S.W., Wyoming, Ml. 49509 on Monday, July 6th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to God's Kitchen Meal Programs of Grand Rapids -Catholic Charities West Michigan, 303 Division Ave, S., Grand Rapids, Ml 49503.
