Jerry Eugene Kimball

Jerry Eugene Kimball, age 83, died March 22, 2017 at 1pm at St. Mary's hospital. Jerry Kimball is survived by his brother John Kimball (Patty); his six children: Jerry Kimball Jr. (Stacey), Steve Kimball (Jennifer), Jeanne DeRoseau, Rick Kimball (Jeanne), Matthew Kimball (Christina), and Elizabeth Kimball; and his many beloved grandchildren: Ben Kimball, Cameron Kimball, Taleia Morgan, Savannah Alvey (David), Amanda Palazzolo (Nick), Ashley Kimball, Shaine Kimball (Abby), Danielle DeRoseau, Emily Kimball, Kristen Kimball, Nick Kimball, Abbey Kimball, Flynn Kimball, Jude Kimball, Miles Selvig, and Lyndin Selvig. His love of our country, the military, his family, and God were at his core. Jerry grew up in Charleston, IL, the son of John and Frances Kimball. He was drafted in 1952 after high school and served his country during the Korean War as an aerial photographer. After serving his country, he attended and graduated from Eastern Illinois University. Golf was one of his passions and now he will be able to take as many mulligans as he wants. The surviving children wanted to express their utmost appreciation for the love and support of uncle John and aunt Patty. Their countless hours at his side consoling Dad, friends, and family will never be forgotten. A service will be held at 11 AM Friday, March 24, 2017 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (1253 - 52nd St., Kentwood, MI 49508). The family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Faith Hospice of Grand Rapids or the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
