Stacy, Harold "Hal" Age 85, passed away peacefully at home on July 29, 2017 in the arms of his loving wife and surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Beatrice; brothers, Don and Denzil; and great grandson, Cameron. Harold is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jackie; his four children, Robin (Pete) VanderJagt, Mark (Karen), Todd (Michelle), and Kim Stacy; 14 grandchildren, Joe (Molli), Maria (Mike), Jennie (Kevin), Jeremy (Alex), Terra, Ben (Aditi), Jake (Steph), Stacy Lynn (Kyle), Jesse (Danny), Jonah, Gabe, Kailee, Jason, and Cody; 18 adored great grandchildren; his sister, Anita; many "adopted" children and grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Born in the hills of Kentucky, son of a humble coal miner, Hal was proud of his "hillbilly" heritage. After moving to Michigan, Harold graduated from Union High School and Western Michigan University. He served his country honorably and proudly in the ROTC through college and continued in the Army Reserves for an additional 12 years. A celebration of Hal's life will be held at 12 pm on Saturday, August 5th, at Keystone Community Church in Ada, 655 Spaulding Ave SE. The family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to the service with a luncheon provided at the church immediately following the service.
