Betty Jean (Christopher) Doxey

Betty Jean Doxey of Kentwood, 87, Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 12, 2017. She was home surrounded by her family. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Edith Christopher, Daughter Patricia Doxey, Granddaughter Stacey Lipski and Great Grandson, Jarael Wilson, Mother in law, Dorothy Doxey, Father in law, Carroll (Doris) Doxey. Betty is survived by her husband Robert whom she was lovingly married to for 62 years. Her children, Sharyl Doxey (Kentwood), Michael Doxey (Shelbyville) and Daniel (Wendy) Doxey (Jenison). Judy (Jeff) Pinks and their family (Charlotte, MI). Betty was blessed to have loved and had 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren with one more addition due in September. Brother/Sister in laws, Raymond (The late Rosalie) Doxey and LeRoy (Louise) Doxey. Many nieces and nephews. Betty was a loving and caring wife, mother, and friend to many. She was a stay at home homemaker. She loved to spend time doing word search puzzles, collected many horse items and loved to listen to her favorite country music. Most of all she loved her family time. No funeral services are planned at this time.The family would like to thank Spectrum Hospice.
